Challenge Accepted
In the spirit of IMAGINE 2020 - Denver’s Cultural Plan, Mayor Michael B. Hancock challenged Councilman Jolon Clark on October 3, 2017 to infuse arts and culture into Lucky District 7. Councilman Clark accepted the challenge and decided that the fairies that recently moved into the district could use some help sprucing up their neighborhood. Councilman Clark hired three local artists to work with the fairies and their merchant landlords to create a neighborhood worthy of South Pearl Street's fairies! Anna NovakAnna has been tattooing since early 2013. She has always loved the arts and, before discovering a passion for tattooing, spent many years teaching dance to local youths. Anna is a total nerd. She is a hardcore Ravenclaw, Browncoat, and Targaryen supporter. The 9th Doctor (Eccleston) is "her Doctor," and she prefers Dean to Sam. This nerdy quality can be seen in her artwork. Bringing her a fandom tattoo will pretty much make her day! Poisoned Apple Ink is Anna’s tattoo business in Longmont, CO. Because tattoo art is forever, Anna has a strong focus on creating artwork that anyone would be proud to show off whether on your wall or on your skin. See Anna's work at: www.darkmarkarts.com.

Why are there objects left at the doors?Legend tells us that fairies can grant wishes for the kids (and kids at heart!) that leave a gift for the fairies. This can be a penny, shell, or cool rock. The fairies appreciate any gift that shines and comes from the heart. Bring something from your home and the fairy might even follow you back! Leave them something useful and small to let the fairies know you appreciate them and want them to stay in the neighborhood. Give them something they can share and so they can invite more fairy friends into the neighborhood.
